College talks, HE Fairs and Careers
Each year Brighton Film School industry professionals visit colleges, sixth forms and UCAS fairs to talk about their experience in the industry, careers and how to get there, courses at film school, UCAS and SFE applications. It is often the first point of contact for young people with the film profession and is an inspiring and interesting opportunity to find out more.
We would welcome the opportunity to come to your school or College and can provide one or both of the following talks. Each last approximately 45-60 minutes with time for questions.
Richard Campbell - Careers and Training in the Film Department
Richard Campbell from Brighton Film School talks about careers and roles in the film industry (including camera, direction, cinematography, producing, editing etc) and the training and qualifications you need to succeed. Find out more about film school, film training, opportunities locally, UCAS and Student Finance applications and much more in this 45-60 minute talk ideally aimed at Level 3 Filmmakers, Media and A Level students.
Anna Deamer - Production Designer - careers and courses in the Art Department (Film and TV)
Renowned artist and Production Designer Anna Deamer talks about her career working for the BBC and in the film industry as an artist, Set Designer and Production Designer. What careers are available for artists in the media? How do you get there? What is the art department and what training is available? Anna talks about her career and answers questions in this 45-60 minute talk ideally aimed at Level 3 Art, Art Foundation and Art A level students.
