Alumni film set to premiere - Home for Christmas
Brighton Film School alumni, Jamie Patterson, is the writer director of a new British Rom-Com 'Home for Christmas' which was filmed in Brighton and set to premiere on December 4th at Duke of Yorks cinema in Brighton.
The film has a great cast including April Pearson (Skins), Karl Davies (Game of Thrones), Lucy Griffiths (True Blood) and Derren Nesbitt (Where Eagles Dare) and a great soundtrack too, featuring unsigned artists from Brighton including Time for T and Kitten and the Hip who recently appeared on The X Factor.
The film was microbudget and we're actually self distributing it through Picturehouse's Ourscreen strand. We'll be Touring round the UK with the film, opening in Notting Hill on the 5th and playing in Bristol, Swansea, Oxford, Southampton and Norwich as well as three more dates in London.
The film is described as: The cool and quirky Brighton we know and love comes to life in this modern day fairytale, complete with laughs, romance and fancy dress. ‘Home for Christmas’ tells the story of 24-year-old Beth Prince (April Pearson) whose fairy tale ending is yet to complete her current love story. Beth is keen to have her happily ever after and takes the matter into her own hands, but soon wishes she hadn’t.
