Filmmaking Diploma retains BKSTS accreditation
The 9-month Filmmaking Diploma has retained its BKSTS Approved Course status, following a bi-annual assessment of the training and delivery provided by Brighton Film School by the International Moving Image Society.
The BKSTS, based at Pinewood Studios, is approved by the UK Government Agency HESA and as an accrediting body, is able to confirm the professional relevance of the Filmmaking Diploma to the International Moving Image industries.
Based at the world famous Pinewood Film Studios, The BKSTS, The International Moving Society, is a professional body uniquely placed to assure, encourage and support industry relevance in moving image and media production courses. With a professional membership working in the world’s film and media industries, the BKSTS has strong associations with many of the leading companies and organisations in the field. It provides an independent worthwhile and recognised kite mark for courses giving an assurance as to a course’s industrial relevance and professionalism.
The Filmmaking Diploma is now accepting applications for the next intake, starting in September 2017. The priority application deadline is the 15th January 2017 and applications can be made online here.
Brighton Film School is a specialist, independent training facility located in central Brighton. The school offers two 2-year HNC/HND (equivalent to the first two years of a degree) programmes in Filmmaking and Set Design for Film and TV, a third-year BA (Hons) Film Production Top-up Degree, as well as an industry recognised Cinematography and Directing Diploma and Set Design for Film and TV Diploma.
