Graduates film the EDF Energy Media Awards 2014

Recent graduates Adam Price and Olivia Lilburn, who graduated from the 2-year Filmmaking HND course in 2014 have continued their success working in the industry with a recent project that was televised on ITV news.

The EDF Energy London and South of England Media Awards annually celebrate journalism in the region from a variety of different media from print to radio, television and online. EDF Energy asked Adam Price and fellow Brighton Film School alumni, Olivia Lilburn, the amazing opportunity to produce a series of twenty fast-turnaround online spots to document and promote the event.
Adam described the event as:
The event was held at the AMEX Community Stadium in Brighton. While I filmed the proceedings, Olivia was tucked away in a box overlooking the football grounds editing the spots on a laptop. We knew time was going to be limited, to compensate we did a lot of preparation beforehand, we tested different output settings on the camera, we cleared the music and created titles - all of which helped speed up the workflow. On the day of shooting, between the two of us we kept swapping compact flash cards over the course of the afternoon which enabled Olivia to get the first cuts completed by the time the event had finished.
ITV Meridian News won 'The Television News Current Affairs of the Year Award' and an extract of their work was broadcast on the six o'clock news that evening.  Please see link: http://goo.gl/CCqCXw
