Film Summer School
Brighton Film School - Film Summer School
Creative, intensive and fun 3 weeks of filmmaking
Do you want to learn how to make films? Brighton Film School presents this fun, creative and practical film-making Summer School at our specialist facilities in the centre of Brighton. This 3 week course will introduce you to our digital and film cameras, editing suite, the production process and you will work alongside like-minded creative people as you create and edit your first film.
Based at one of the best film schools in the country, you will be taught by industry professionals who will show you how to bring your ideas and projects to life. You will form crews with your colleagues and, under our guidance, will plan your films to be shot on DSLR. You will go through the process of filmmaking from script development to storyboard and then plan your shoot schedule.
Brighton Film School has a brand new suite of Macs fitted with industry software and a private editing suite. Our studio space offers the opportunity for building sets and shooting indoor scenes and Brighton itself has a wealth of great locations for your location shoots.
This is a great opportunity for you to develop your interest in film and see where it may take you.
There are no formal entry requirements for this course and we welcome applications from beginners and those with no previous knowledge of filmmaking. Some previous use of cameras and/or script development may prove useful but all will be taught on the course. This course is aimed at those aged 18+. If you are under 18 please look at our Brighton Young Filmmakers Summer School.
