Q and A with Feature Film Director Ben Wheatley

Brighton Film School students were invited to The Space event in Brighton, to meet and take part in a question and answer session with the acclaimed British Feature Film Director Ben Wheatley.

Ben Wheatley (Sightseers, Kill List, Down Terrace, Doctor Who) spoke at length to the audience about his career, how he made his first film for just £6,000, the challenges he has faced and his creative influences.

He then took questions from the floor, with many coming from our students currently studying on the Filmmaking HND, who wanted to know more about the production process and how he protects his artistic integrity in the face of his increasing commercial success.

There was time afterwards for picture and 1-2-1 questions with Ben Wheatley.

Before this the audience also heard from famed musician and composer Paul Hartnoll, who is one-half of the electronic music group Orbital.

Ben Wheatley and Paul Hartnoll were speaking at The Space, a unique and regular entertainment and arts event with exclusive guest interviews. The Space is proudly sponsored by Brighton Film School.
