Varndean School awards scholarships to Brighton Film School
Varndean School, based in Brighton, has awarded three scholarships to their students to come to Brighton Film School and join our new 10-week Brighton Young Filmmakers course. This 10-week course is for 15-17 year old's and provides budding young filmmakers with experiences in film production, editing, screenwriting, sound, lighting and art direction.
A spokesperson for Varndean School said:
The students all heard about the opportunity in different ways: attending the Brighton Film School Summer School Juniors, attending Stagecoach Theatre Arts School classes here at Varndean School, and through our own drama classes at school. With varying experience the students all have a fantastic opportunity here and are really excited about the next few weeks. We wish them every success for the course and their future in film making.
BYFM is currently halfway through the first course of the year but students can apply for term 2, which starts again on Thursday 9th January and runs from 4.30pm - 6.30pm. A 10-week term costs just £100 and you do not need to have done the previous course to start the next one.
Brighton's young filmmakers can apply for the next course today.
