What area of film do you want work in?
I’m hoping to work in the industry as a writer/director, but I also have a passion for lighting.
What do you enjoy about the advanced lighting workshops you attend after lessons?
I like gaining more practical experience working with the lights, helping to fine tune my skills. At the same time, I like increasing my insight into how to use light to enhance the story.
Why did you choose to attend Brighton film school?
I chose Brighton film school because of the great facilities and the course is a mixture of both practical and theory, which attracted me coming from doing a BTEC. Also Brighton is such a creative city to study!
How do you feel the degree course is getting you ready for the film industry?
The BA Film Production is helping me understand all the career roots that are available out there in the industry. Allowing me to know what my options are, as I enter the industry at the end of this academic year.
What roles have you worked in the past?
I have predominantly found myself working as a gaffer on most of the film school productions that I have been involved in.
What is your next project?
My next project is my degree film currently titled ‘Joe’. It is about a woman who is rescued from a mugging by a homeless man. I’m very much enjoying developing the story and characters at the moment.
What is your favourite film?
My favourite film has got to be Frank Darabont’s The Shawshank Redemption.
