Art Directors in close encounter with a Polar Bear

Two 1st year students from our Art Direction and Production Design HND course had a close encounter with a Polar Bear, amongst several other wild beasties. This wasn't a trip to the arctic, but rather a prop buying trip to media prop house A + M Ltd in West London.

Yahmina Kessner and Jonna Nordenhead visited the studio along with our Head of Art Direction Anna Deamer, as part of their professional project BERG, which is part of the Cinecity Festival and forms part of the students 1st year assessments as well as working on a high profile project in the city.

BERG is described as a film set installation for an imaginary screen version of BERG. The immersive, cinematic environment is complemented by sound design from renowned musician and composer Barry Adamson. The project runs from the University of Brighton Gallery from the 22nd November - 19th December and the show is open to the general public. In addition, in partnership with Brighton Film School, a series of very special behind-closed-doors tours and talks are available with Anna Deamer for schools groups and art classes interested in the project or a career in Art Direction.

If you are interested in BERG or you or your school would like to arrange a special tour please contact Brighton Film  School.
