Brighton Film School students credited on new Barry Adamson film
Current students and recent graduates from Brighton Film School have picked up credits on a new film from legendary music producer and filmmaker, Barry Adamson, on the film titled ‘The Swing, The Hole, The Lie’.
The film, which depicts the protagonists ‘fragile world that teeters on the brink of madness as she seeks to uncover whether her boyfriend is up to no good with her best friend’ and comes from the creative mind of Barry Adamson whose music career spans 40 years and includes records and collaborations with Magazine, Buzzcocks, Visage and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. Adamson and the production company behind this new cinematic venture approached Brighton Film School earlier this year to seek assistance with a number of supportive crew roles as runners, which quickly turned into credits for Filmmaking HND students Dan Donovan (Camera Assistant), Becky Armley (Production Assistant) and Charlie Bentley (Production Assistant).
Serena Catapano, Production Coordinator for Central Control International said:
“It was absolutely fantastic to have Dan Donovan (camera assistant), Becky Armley (production assistant) and Charlie Bentley (production assistant) from Brighton Film school on our production team for Barry Adamson's new short The Swing The Hole and The Lie.
All three were work-ready, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and professional at all times. This helped to make the shoot run very smoothly and I wouldn't hesitate to work with them again on future productions."
The film ‘The Swing, The Hole, The Lie’ has already received festival success and recognition and will be screened as part of the Brighton Cinecity Festival taking place between 20th November 2014 to the 7th December 2014.
