FIlm School Students' Revved Up Workshop
1st Assistant Director Lydia Currie (Rev, Ashes to Ashes, Hustle) went through the realities of working in TV and Film with Film School Students.
Timekeeping, enthusiasm and commitment were some of the key areas that came up, as well as the requirements of a working day and the role of 1st, 2nd, 3rd AD's and how to get your first foot in the industry as a runner.
The students then went on a recce to a local church to look at how a First AD would schedule the shooting script.
Each group were given a scene from the series Rev to work out what equipment they would need, how they would shoot it and how much time each scene would require.
At the end of the day the students felt more informed and ready to work on a professional set.
