Film students seek Kickstarter funding for new short film

Charlie Bentley, 2nd year Filmmaking HND student and his crew are seeking funding in order to create their new 8-minute short film titled 'Between the Tracks'. Charlie, who will be directing this new short feature, is using the innovative and popular Kickstarter project website in order to seek £500 to make a film that 'looks at a deeply personal, emotional and difficult subject, which has been rarely explored in the media'. Can you help?

'Between the Tracks' follows the story of Jillian, an over-qualified waitress is angry at her inability to move on from her brother Brandon’s sudden and unexpected suicide. The project has recently been green-lit for production by Brighton Film School, who will be providing some initial financial investment, industry-standard production equipment (Blackmagic Cinema Camera EF), as well as state-of-the-art post-production facilities. The 8-minute film will be shot in early-April 2014 and will be directed by Charlie Bentley, a current student at Brighton Film School in his 2nd year of the Filmmaking HND.

The production crew are seeking investment pledged up to £500 - with options ranging from £5 to the full amount. Investors will be thanked by a variety if incentives that include digital and Blu-Ray copies of the finished film, exclusive behind-the-scenes content and for those investing £100 or more, an Executive Producer credit.

Charlie said:

We desperately need these funds to afford station photography permits and transportation for our cast and crew. Every penny donated will help to ensure that this project runs smoothly. Your contributions will help us right through from the pre- to post-production phases and will help this film find an audience through film festival submissions upon completion.

Whether you are able to support us financially or not, we'd be grateful if you would please 'share' this campaign on Facebook to help others get involved with the project.
