"Listen" selected for world-wide film festivals

Liang Hu, who graduated from the Cinematography and Directing Diploma in 2012, has had his 2nd short film, “Listen”, selected for screening at the Holebi Film Festival and Sardinia Queer Short Film Festival.

“Listen” was written, produced and directed by Liang Hu during his final year at Brighton Film School and he spent the past year polishing his film and directing a film crew that included our current Filmmaking HND students and fellow graduates from the Diploma course. Liang also received advice and guidance from the award-winning screenwriter and Brighton Film School patron David Scinto (Sexy Beast, 44” Chest, Gangster No.1)

This 2nd film by Liang Hu follows on from the success he had with his first short, “James”, which was made whilst still a student at the film school. “James” received worldwide recognition at the Spokane GLBT Film Festival, Serile Filmului Gay International Film Festival, CINECITY Brighton Film Festival, Merlinka International Queer Film Festival and Out in the Desert Film Festival.

Liang Hu's latest success marks him out as a very talented filmmaker indeed.
