Level 4 HNC in Creative Media Production

QCF Edexcel BTEC Level 4 HNC in Creative Media Production

If you enjoy doing rather than watching or analysing, then the Level 4 Higher National Certificate is the course for you. The credits are achieved through working on productions, as well as producing shooting documentation and research material.

The Level 4 HNC is equivalent to the first year of a degree and is a stand-alone qualification. Progression onto the Level 5 HND in the second year will allow you to develop a chosen specialism and produce a substantial film or documentary. On completion of the HND, progression onto a third year of a degree will enable you to achieve a BA (Hons).

The course will be taught over two days with whole group sessions, production development meetings and seminars. Additional time will be required for planning, research and filming. The course is designed to replicate a Production Company and skills learned will enable you to work as a freelancer in the Film and Television industry.

Feedback we have received from students at University is that the first year of a degree is similar to ‘A’ levels or a BTEC Level 3. We aim to get you up and running with our new Panasonic AF-101 cameras in the first week and editing in Final Cut Pro by the second.

Skills, knowledge, planning and a vision for your future career are our commitment to you.
